Whipple on Jaguar 4.2
G'Day,
I'm looking at getting a whipple to go on my 4.2 jag motor. Just wondering how I decide what size/model to get. It's going to be rebuilt to suit but at the moment runs 8:1 compression, factory redline 5500rpm & factory output an 'alleged' 255hp. Looking at a max of 10-12psi, as it's a weekend cruiser. Also going to clean up the heads, maybe larger valves and a more modern cam profile, twin 2.5" exhaust. Any idea what figures I'd be looking at, in the end? Looking for torque more than HP - should I do something different? Can anybody put me in touch with someone who's done this one before? Also looking at LPG conversion - no drama's with suckthrough set-up using a boost referenced LPG carb? Should I try & cool the intake manifold (I don't really want an intercooler per-se)? Any advice appreciated!
Cheers,
Rob.
