Default only making 3lbs of boost

This is a older tbi chev kit. I have a 55mm TBI built 383 with arf heads. I had the whipple rebuilt by Highspeed labs. the motor is running great but am looking for more boost

Well I already have a 2.75 uppger and a 7.75 crank, I cannot spin that ol thing much higher as for the bypass valve these dont have one . I hate to say this but I may need to go to a procharger to make enough boost to make the motor happy

Some of those early kits were a 1.2L Autorotor compressor I think. The pulley size and boost you're describing do seem consistent with a 1.6L compressor on a 383, in my experience.

yes its the 1.6l. I am afraid that its just too small for the motor. the thought now is to go with a accel proram system with a DFI and twin turbo's.. Oh well I still have the whipple on my jeep
