Default went to the track had a blast

my fastest pass was 15.68 1/4 mile 60 ft 2.22 sec 660 ft 9.95sec and 660 mph was 69.34 at top speed of 85.71 mph i'm running a 2000 escalade with a 5.7 ltr vortec with a 1.6 ltr whipple.diff gears are stock. i think it is one of the first gen whipple's because the intake plenum does not have the extra injectors (ebay purchased s/c). cat back single exhaust no spare no trailer hitch on stock16" wheels. i launch in 4 wheel drive so there is no wheel slip at all. i'm running a 2.75" pulley and only getting 6 pounds of boost in first gear and then back to 5 pounds for the rest of the 3 gears from what i been hearing on this site other guys are getting alot more boost from a 2.75" pulley? i run 93 octane fuel, this kit came with a boost a pump set up and it seems to be working well. no pinging at all and no air restrictions. Whats the deal why so slow I'm scratching my head

You're right, that's about a second off what it should be. (My truck with just the Whipple kit used to run high 14's, but it's 2WD and a little lighter.)
Is the air filter pulling air through the factory box or do you have an open element in the engine bay?
Because the Intake Air Temperature Sensor gets relocated to the intake elbow, it sees the full discharge air temperature from the supercharger, the PCM will then pull timing based on that temperature. The cooler the air you can get into the supercharger, the better. It's not just more dense, the PCM will pull less timing if the discharge air coming from the compressor is cooler.
Pull a plug and take a look to see if they got hot.

Yes cooler air even a few degrees will help, heck my truck before the supercharger could do 14.9 in the quarter, can`t remember how fast at the moment, waiting for warmer weather here to try it with....(-:

I am running the stock air box with the drop in K&N filter

I would think that new plug gap could help out, its harder to blow the the spark out gapped smaller. Your kit didn`t come with any sort of tubing to bring in more cold air?

yea stumpuller the kit was complete. i guess 1996 and newer 5.7ltr vortec kits just came with the K&N drop in filter and the plastic inlet that goes across the engine to the relocated throttle body but that it. all the kits that i've seen are just like mine?
