HO Aluminum Intercooler Coolant Tank 2008 Mustang

Greetings, I've got a 2008 Bullitt with the HO Ford Racing/Whipple supercharger kit. The kits no longer come with the aluminum aircraft-type intercooler coolant tanks still shown on their website:

Whipple says they had some issues with the manufacturer, so they now include a plastic OEM Coolant Tank from the 03-04 SVT Cobra. Canton makes a direct fit aluminum replacement for it, but not the aircraft type with the great orange cap like the one that used to come with the Whipple. Moroso and LFP make the aircraft-type tanks to replace the OEM 03-04 Cobra tank, but they are oversized and are made to mount sideways. That works fine in the 03-04 Cobra, but where it is mounted in my 2008 does not allow for it to be mounted sideways. I do not want to relocate the battery to the trunk.

Anyone know where I can get the original tank that used to come with the Whipple kits?? Used or new...

Welcome to the forum! give jared at lethal perfomance a line, they sell many kits for mustangs and may have or know were these can be had.

The tank that you're referring to was made by another company that is very difficult to obtain product from so it's very unlikely we'll be able to get any of them. However if there's enough interest from other HO owners I may have the ability to have another tank manufacturer that we deal with put one into production. I'll throw this out on a few other forums and see if I can get enough interest to where it's not a 1 off piece.

The 05-07 tank will be available within the next 2 weeks. I'll post a picture of a pre-production unit to go you guys and idea of how they'll look and where they mount.
