It might take some time but I am hoping for some great results. What I need to do is lower the point where the 2.9 makes the big numbers at a safe rpm for my currently stock GT500 engine.
If I can do that I will be 100% satisfied.

Steve,
Welcome to the forum.
The 2.9L will definitely treat you good. There's several other customers of ours that are having great results with them and you'll be sure to see more and more of them on the streets as time goes on.
As far as RPM's go I believe if you keep them at 6250 you should be ok. Our bad was that we spun the car up over 6500rpms making just under 800rwhp. You know when you shift at 6500 the engine keeps on spinning. We saw our RPms hit 7000rpm on the dyno when tuning the car for the smaller pulley.
Hope that helps.
