Ethyl has been running with her Whipple for over a year now. SNL Performance has completed development of a cog driven system separating the accessories from the blower drive. We just installed a stronger snout today. The car is up and running, sounding stronger than ever.
The 4.0 liter blower sitting on a 408 Ci iron stroker block with ETP 245cc heads. We recently converted to E85 by adding ID2000 cc injectors along with a nitrous Outlet 100 dry shot. Between the corn likker and the laughing gas the IATs are consistently down below 135 degrees. SNL has got up to 969/1111 thus far. Problem is we are running out of fuel, the Aeromotive A1000 cannot keep up at max pressure. The other side of the coin is the engine was only set up to go to around 1500 rwhp and we are getting close enough to that now considering drive train loss.
With the new cog drive we are able to consistently boost to 23 lbs, up from an inconsistent 18-20 on the 8 rib serpentine. While there are a few 1000 rwhp cars out there the 1111 rwtq is insane and we haven't seen many of those. All in all we are pretty stoked. Here is a vid of it cranking and idling.
