Angry 2003 Chevy SS problems

Hi all new to the site, I have a 2003 Chevy SS 6.0 Whippled with headers, cats and full exhaust, K & N. Truck is running fine but not registering for emissions. I have been talking with Mike ( much help and thank you.) . Still at a standstill, the truck as now at the chevy dealer which was done to verify that the ecm was not reprogrammed and it's not it's stock. I bought this truck used need to create a baseline to figure the problem out, in the process. Truck was not registering high enough water temp. according to GM to release the emissions, so talked to Mike and was told the whipple kit comes with 160 t-stat mine is reading 177 on the computer, replaced t-stat back to a stock 185 released that but still not emmisions release. Mass air flow is registering to low also, checked part # with GM they said that it doesn't match what's suppose to be in there, checked with Mike said the whipple kit calls for no mass air flow change over stock. I,m probably going to change the mass air flow on monday but I'm just not confident this is going to help. Anybody have any ideas, the truck is not throughing and codes or lights!!!

Hey prorat56 thanks for the reply, I'm in Pa . When hooked up to the emissions test the truck was reading not ready the same way it does on some other models so I'm told so they then told me to drive it at least 50 miles to re - educate the computer ( the battery did completely die prior. I've driven it a 1000 miles so this is not the case. ) Since I first posted the truck is still at the chevy dealer ( they're being pretty good.) As of today Mike at Whipple told them to unplug the efi box let it sit and then replug it in and test it. This worked the emissions readings started showing up, all was good but then they disconnected the emissions computer and bang the check engine light is now on. ( this light has never come on and stayed on.) Truck still runs fine, but no inspection.) I'am waiting to hear from Mike if I send the efi box back for the update and get a Diablo can I cure this problem. Thanks again, Davin

I had problems with my truck as well with trouble codes. I would hit up Allen with Nelson Performance he will definently point you in the right direction. Nelson Performance - Performance without Sacrificing Drivability
