I wouldn't use an impact on a Whipple or any other compressor drive, personally.
It's not coming out because it's spinning the rotors.
If you've got an old serpentine belt, cut it and fish one end of it into the throttle body through the elbow and into the supercharger inlet to prevent the rotors from turning. Make sure it's clean first. I've always would the safest thing to use to be the plastic handle of a screw driver or a hardwood dowel but you won't be able to get one of those in there past the elbow.
