The cross section is the same, as are inlet bolt centers, if the drawings on the Whipple site are still good. It appears to be pretty close to a 3.4 in overall length. I'm really anticipating moving from the 2.3 Lysholm/Whipple to the new 2.9. I'll be able to keep my same pre blower manifold and everything should line up nicely with a non-snout. I was contemplating the 3.4, but that would require major surgery and some parts that are no longer made. I think the 2.9 is going to be the belle of the ball for most motors.
