Default Whipple Supercharger releases the Gen II Rotor Design

Upping the ante and raising the bar for twin screw superchargers Whipple Industries just released a newly designed and amazingly efficient new rotor profile. The new rotor profile is referred to as the Gen II Rotor. The Gen II rotor has been in testing for the last 6 months and is finally here and available in most of Whipple's new production superchargers. The benefits of the Gen II rotor are easily seen during testing. The Gen II rotor simply flows more air at the same RPM as the last rotor design did. We've seen an increase in boost by 2psi at the same pulley combo as before. This means if you're running a 12 psi pulley you're going to see up to 14psi with that same pulley. What else does the Gen II rotor provide? Due to the design being more efficient it takes less to create more air flow which in turn is done at lower temperatures. The lower the intake temperatures are the more power you'll see in addition to it being less stressful on the motor.

We'll be posting more information including flow charts and dyno sheets of the Gen II in action.

Stay tuned! Jared
